Before there were three rooms, there was one table.

In a small Maribor apartment, Jure and Maja welcomed four guests into their living room. Dinner happened at one table, close enough for the food and the conversation to become part of the same memory.

When we moved to Zgornja Polskava, we wanted that feeling to survive the change. The restaurant now has three separate rooms, each with its own table, and welcomes up to twelve guests in an evening. Its name still reminds us where it began.

The people

Two ways of caring for the same evening.

That first table taught us to pay attention. Today Jure leads the food, while Maja reads the rhythm of each room. Sommeliers and artisans add their own hands and knowledge, so the care you feel at the table extends beyond the two of us.

The place

Close enough to notice.

Each room makes space for a different evening. One table may ask about every course; another may let the conversation carry on. With only three tables, we can notice the difference and give each its own pace.

The purpose

Precision with warmth.

The dishes change and so does the place around them. What we hope you take away has stayed much the same: flavours that linger, people who listened and an evening that felt unmistakably your own.

We built the restaurant we wanted to visit.

What began around one table in a Maribor apartment has found a new home beneath Pohorje.
